Realm

Let's get connected

Realm

First Presbyterian Church Greer uses Realm, an online platform, that helps connect the congregation in a number of ways. In addition it is used by church staff as a people management and accounting software.

What you need to know

What is Realm?

Realm is a ministry tool that helps the church connect with our congregation and for the congregation to connect with one another. This platform includes all of the following:

  • Accounting/Payroll
  • Attendance Tracking at Worship and Sunday School
  • Easy Reporting Tools
  • Event Registration and Payment
  • Online Giving
  • Online Directory
  • Volunteer Sign-ups
  • Group Organization and Communication
  • Easy Access to Giving History
  • and much more

How does it work?

Realm is an online tool that can be accessed via the web or through the Realm Connect App. Church members simply create a log in to access their Realm account from a home computer or mobile device. From there members can update contact information, view giving statements, give online and connect to other church members through groups.

Giving

Giving should be easy, and Realm makes places giving right in the palm of your hands. You may set up recurring gifts, view giving history and make changes at any time. Realm automatically records all electronic gifts in real time and adds them to your giving record making it easy for you to give, and easy for our staff to track. Staff will document non-electronic gifts within Realm, so that they will also be shown in your giving history.

What about my privacy?

Realm is safe, private and secure.

Your privacy is of the greatest concern and Realm at First Presbyterian Church is only accessible to the people who make up this church. Realm keeps your data safe and gives you control over what information you share and who can see it.

What do I need to do now?

Currently, church staff is working in the background of Realm to make sure everything is ready for the congregation.  In mid-May 2024 information will be sent to the congregation with specifics on how to log in and set up your personal Realm account.  In the meantime, use the form below to make sure we have the most up to date information for your family.

If you have adult children who are no longer in your household, please feel free to fill out a form for them as well  or send them the link to fill it out, so that we can update their family information in Realm.

Frequently asked questions

When will the transition occur? We have already converted data from the old system to Realm and staff are working to clean it up and learn Realm to better assist you.  Congregation members will be invited to log in to Realm in mid May.

I give online with Easy Tithe do I need to switch? Yes. Eventually all easy tithe accounts will need to be moved to Realm. Christi Yenser will be providing additional information about this soon.  Easy Tithe will not go away immediately. We will make sure everyone who has given online is converted before deactivating our former services.

Will Instant Church Directory go away? Eventually Instant Church Directory will be deactivated, but we will continue to subscribe to this service for a few months to make sure everyone gets signed up for Realm. The online directory that comes with Realm will be similar to Instant Church Directory, but will offer even more and will even be easy for you to update your own information.

What if I need help? Staff and church leaders are here to help! We are doing trainings and learning how everything works now.  May 12th, May 19th and May 26th during the Sunday School hour Maggie Wentzky along with other staff and church leaders will be available in the Fellowship Hall to answer questions, help members sign up and update infomation. Additional training/help sessions may be schedule as the need is determined.  Christi Yenser is available by email and in the office on Monday and Wednesday mornings to help with questions related to financials in Realm.
