Presbyterians love to learn. There are many ways for adults of all ages to engage and grow in their faith and knowledge at First Presbyterian Church.
Throughout the year, our staff and Faith Formation ministry team lead Bible and Book studies, host guest speakers, support Sunday School classes and encourage fellowship. Adult Faith Formation activities are designed around a variety of topics that are relevant to the time and place in which the church and society finds themselves. We strive to give participants the opportunity to delve deeper into the Scriptures for the purposes of education and growth.
With numerous adult Sunday School classes, there is certainly something for everyone. The offerings range from traditional Bible studies to a weekly discussion based on current events and their relationship to scripture. We are always evaluating what types of classes are needed by the congregation. There is something for all ages, generations, and stages of life.

Throughout the year adult Bible studies are held for 4 to 6 weeks at a time. Led by church staff and volunteers, these studies cover a variety of topics, are often seasonal and are based on books, adult curriculum and other materials currated by the study leader. Check the latest newsletter and bulletins for information on any upcoming studies.
During the seasons of Advent and Lent the church staff coordinate the distribution of materials to supplement adults study, prayer and preparation for Christmas and Easter. These include daily devotionals emailed to the congregation and a resource table that provides copies of printed devotions, calendars, prayer booklets, book studies and more.
Church-wide book studies are completed once or twice a year on topics related to health and culture through the lens of faith. Selected books are read by those who are interested and opportunities for discussion and a deeper dive into the topics are facilitated by church staff and volunteers.
