Of all that we might do as Christians, nothing is more central than the corporate act of worship, the joining with other believers in fellowship, prayer, song, and the reading and hearing of God’s word.
8:55 Worship ~ Fellowship Hall
Our 8:55 worship service provides a relaxed and informal setting for the worship of God. The scripture and sermon are the same as the 11:00 traditional service. The music is led by a group of singers and is enhanced by instrumentalists. The music includes a blend of many different genres including gospel, praise, blue grass, and traditional hymns. The handbell and children’s choirs participate regularly. The liturgy and the music are projected on a screen and volunteers from the congregation serve as the liturgists. This service is held in the Fellowship hall.
10:00 Sunday School for all ages.
11:00 Worship ~ Normally the 11:00 service is in the Sanctuary. During the season of Pass It On Construction it has been temporarily relocated to the Fellowship Hall. We hope you will join us for worship.
Our 11:00 worship service has a more formal liturgy, traditional hymns with organ accompaniment, and choral music ranging from classical to spirituals. The adult choir sings each week. The handbell and children’s choirs also participate regularly. This service is held in the sanctuary at 11:00 am.
To make wholehearted worship possible for everyone, we provide child care from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm. We welcome children and encourage their participation in worship. Most preschool children stay in worship through the “Time with the Children” at our 11:00 service and then depart for child care downstairs in the educational building.
