First Presbyterian Church of Greer in Greer SC

Give Now

Welcome to First Presbyterian Church, Greer, SC. We are glad you are here. We invite you to explore these pages to see what we are up to and we hope that you will come worship with us on Sunday mornings. I think you’ll see that we are a dedicated community of faith, focused on serving the Lord by loving each other, providing for needs in our community, and centering ourselves around Christian worship.

We are a vibrant church of all ages built on nearly 175 years of Reformed Presbyterian faith traditions. Our diverse membership consists of some families who are the eighth generation descendants of the church’s founding mothers and fathers and a steady stream of newer members who have joined us from other PC(USA) churches, other denominations, and no faith background at all.

The love we have for one another here in this place is deep and real. The work we do is about honoring God, Jesus Christ and Holy Spirit with the best we have to offer. Please do study these pages, but more importantly, come worship with us any Sunday at 8:55 or 11 am. Worship is the center of all we do. Talk to the person on the pew next to you or ask any questions of the member who will be out front after the service holding a basket of bread as our gift to you.

We invite you to explore our church and its work. Become a part of our tradition, our loving legacy of faith, our Christ-called community.

Grace and Peace to you,

Rev. Dr. Brandi Casto-Waters, Pastor

Thanks to a generous memorial gift First Presbyterian Church has installed an induction“hearing loop” system that enables hearing-impaired individuals who wear hearing aids equipped with a telecoil or “T-coil” device to be able to hear everything that is spoken or sung into a microphone in their worship services in the sanctuary. The system sends the sounds of the services directly to hearing aids, cochlear implants, or special headsets.

The congregation hopes that the hearing loop will not only be a blessing to their congregation, but to the surrounding community, especially those who do not attend church because they simply can’t hear what is being said. With the proper hearing aid or cochlear implant, they now have a place to worship where they will be able to hear every word.
