We celebrate the beginning of the Advent season with a church wide event where we make Advent wreaths and then join together for a time of worship and lighting of the first Advent candle. During Advent, we have a special Blue Christmas worship service where we reflect on hope and light in the midst of darkness. We have two Christmas Eve services. At 5 pm, we gather for an intergenerational and family friendly service where we see the Nativity story come to life. At 9 pm, we gather for worship through lessons and carols, candlelight and communion.
We begin the Lenten season with an Ash Wednesday service; a time of music,
reflection and the imposition of ashes. We gather together for Maundy Thursday worship where we sit together at table and take part in the Lord’s Supper. Easter Sunday worship is full of music and the good news of the resurrection.
There are other times during the year when we gather for special worship as a church family, such as Pentecost Sunday, World Communion Sunday, and Sundays where children, youth and mission teams lead our worship.
