Crib Nursery—Three Year Olds

Constant, safe, and loving Christian care is provided during all worship services, Sunday School, Wonderful Wednesday, and Vacation Bible School. In the Crib Nursery, the Two-Year-Old classroom, and the Three-Year-Old classroom there is a paid nursery worker along with volunteers who take care of our little ones. We must have at least two approved assistants in these rooms at all times. Adults and youth who have had background checks and have been members longer than six months are encouraged to offer their time as volunteers in the nursery.

Four and Five Year Olds

Sunday School and Wonderful Wednesday classes are provided for four and five year olds. Adults with a love of children and an excitement for Christ who have been approved through Safety Initiatives and been a member of FPCG for longer than six months, are welcomed and encouraged to nurture these children as they discover God in their lives and how much he loves them through Jesus Christ.

Bibleville Sunday School for Elementary Children

Bibleville is an exciting new Sunday School format for elementary-aged children. We’re combining the best of both worlds from the traditional and rotation-style Sunday School!

· Each grade has a primary teacher all school year.

· Each grade has its own classroom.

· Each grade has a shepherd who nurtures a relationship with the children.

· Each grade uses specific curriculum chosen especially for their age.

Bibleville “specialty” teachers travel to the classrooms bringing lessons alive through art, science, cooking, drama, and audio visual aids when appropriate

These six to eight sessions are designed to include parents as our third graders explore and experience what it truly means to partake of the Lord’s Supper. These meaningful, interactive sessions are held in the fall during the Sunday School and Wonderful Wednesday hours. Once the children complete the class, they will meet with the Session for their blessing. Adults are encouraged to help with the teaching and mentoring components of this important educational, faith-developing offering.

CHILDREN’S WORSHIP BAGS~ June Shafer

Worship bags are provided for children to use in worship. They have Bible-based activity books, storybooks, paper, pencils and crayons as well laminated cards of The Lord’s Prayer, Apostle’s Creed, Gloria Patria, and the Doxology. There are also bookmarks so parents can help children find the mornings hymns in the hymnbooks and scripture in the Bible.

These bags are located at the door leading into the Fellowship Hall, and in the narthex and piano-side doors of the Sanctuary.
